I work with fallen trees processing them into wood; a material that is beautiful, versatile, durable and sustainable. We all have an innate relationship with trees and wood; it is a fundamental element to our human existence generating oxygen, food, shelter, warmth and tools.

John Merrill is a Denbighshire based artist. He creates high quality contemporary sculpture in the public realm, making unique and intriguing interventions that add interest to public spaces.

Come and see the exhibition and the huge Tipping Point sculpture!

Tipping Point is part of a UK-wide Arts project that will feature eighteen sculptures installed at designated sites throughout the United Kingdom. The artworks and their installation are fully funded by the project organizers – Sky Arts.

Ruthin Craft Centre has been chosen to host this as a nationally renowned venue for the applied arts where the public can view art freely.
