Lost in Art
Both of Denbighshire’s Lost in Art groups (Rhyl and Ruthin) have work on display in Studio 4.
Ruthin’s Lost in Art group meet at Ruthin Craft Centre each week and visit the galleries at the start of each session. Inspired by the work of Micki Schloessingk in The Language of Clay exhibition and also that of Simone ten Hompel, looking closely at the spoons explored by both artists, the group have produced a range of spoons and ceramic hangings.
Also on display is work from Rhyl’s Lost in Art group. Working with lead artist Jude Wood, the group took their inspiration from the work of Grayson Perry, with a particular focus on his sketchbooks and ceramics. They have constructed a range of vases using lampshade frames and goldfi sh bowls, embellishing with a range of mixed media.
