Katie Scarlett-Howard is a professional figurative ceramic artist, whose work is focused on the human form. She has been a practising artist for fourteen years and works from her home studio in Denbigh. During the workshop, Katie will take you through each process of making the human or animal form with professional, grogged sculpting clay. You will learn a wide variety of ceramic modelling techniques, from coiling, slabrolling, pinching, engraving to hollowing out and decoration. The figure or animal you sculpt is down to your own imagination! The sculptures will then be fired in Katie’s own kiln and returned to the Craft Centre for pick up.
