Can the process of making reflect other processes? With her new work for Ruthin Craft Centre, Inundation, Laura Ellen Bacon has drawn parallels between the immersive techniques of producing her immense installations and the power and volume of flood waters. The work reflects upon recent history of extremes of flooding: both in North Wales and in the Somerset Levels where the willow for this work was grown. Laura will speak about the issues involved in making site-specific installations on this scale, of the techniques used and on her past work for sites such as historic houses.
