‘Drawing with a difference’ Digital Portfolio – online workshops and resources designed for 14–18 year olds
Portfolio is a course of development workshops for young artists and designers age 14–18 who have a particular interest within the visual arts. The workshops are based at Ruthin Craft Centre and are now also available to access online. During the sessions, professional artists / makers share their expertise, introduce new techniques and discuss the participants’ work and ideas – in supporting the development of their own personal portfolio towards their Art and Design studies. As part of our ongoing Portfolio programme we are now offering 3 new Digital online workshops inspired by the Ruthin Craft Centre exhibition programme. These digital workshops and resources have been especially designed for young people to follow and do at home.
All 3 workshops are based on the techniques of drawing – but with a ‘difference.’
Each digital workshop package includes:
• An online workshop/demonstrations with a professional artist/maker
• Further resources – including an insight to the artist studio and RCC exhibition programme
• We will also provide a basic material kit for the workshop and will post directly (free of charge) to your household.
• ‘Meet the Artist’ session, via Zoom, where you’ll have the opportunity to talk to the artist directly about the work you’ve created from their online workshop/ demonstrations and ask for further drawing tips and advice.
