Responses to the Nature Table

2 day workshop with Dail Behennah 16 & 17 May 10.00am – 4.30pm £130 Lunch included

Working with wire and foil, participants will be encouraged to work in an intuitive way to make their personal responses to natural objects. Basic metal-working and textile techniques will be employed, without the use of specialised tools or equipment. No prior metal working experience is required.

Day 1: Begins with a stroll around Loggerheads Country Park accompanied by the County Archaeologist, Fiona Gale, and Dail Behennah. The group will then return to Ruthin Craft Centre in the afternoon, with an opportunity to take a close look at Dail’s Nature Table in the exhibition, followed by discussion and exercises. By the end of the day we will have assembled our own Nature Table to inspire the second day.

Day 2: This day will introduce people to materials and skills that they might not have used before. Participants will be encouraged to make a series of small objects which will be their individual responses to the Nature Table.
