Eleanor Glover
hidden in there somewhere – a retrospectiveWood is artist/maker Eleanor Glover primary material, but others are used to reinforce ideas expressed. Narrative elements and metaphor develop through the process of making, and influences are drawn from her own experiences, observations of life around her, poetry and literature. She has taught extensively as a senior lecturer in graphic design and textiles at degree level and as a visiting tutor to adult learners. Latterly she has worked therapeutically in a community context with adults and children: in prisons, hospices, psychiatric units, hospitals, surgeries, and care homes. She has developed the use of Book Arts and Shadow Theatre as vehicles to stimulate narrative and capture personal stories.
